Authors Note: This is my conflict and resolution piece for the book The Hunger Games. This piece shows what happens in the Hunger Games and how things would be different if they hadn't happened.
The book the hunger games is based on North America in the
future and they have 12 different districts and one capital. Every year the Capitol of Panem hosts an event
called the Hunger Games where two "tributes" – a boy and a girl – are
drafted from each of the twelve districts to be brought to an arena and fight
to the death, only one person can win. This is to remind the country not to
rebel and for entertainment. This year, unfortunately,
Katniss's little sister is selected for the Hunger Games, so Katniss volunteers
to take her place.
If Katniss didn’t volunteer for prim there would
be no chance of her surviving because unlike Katinss, Pirm didn’t hunt and
didn’t really care to be outside so she mainly helped her mother with nursing
sick people. If Katniss wasn’t there for the whole thing Peeta probably
wouldn’t of tried to win in the hunger games because he wouldn’t of had
anything to fight for, but because he told everyone that he loved Katniss they
were expected to be together and fight together to the end.
