The Last Love

Authors note: This is about what I predict is going to happen in the book A Walk to Remember, by Nickolas Sparks. I am over half way through the book and I will tell what I think is going to happen in the end.

Imagine loving someone for the first time and all you want is to be with them for the rest of your life. Everything is going perfect, until suddenly your whole world comes crashing to the ground with a few single words. In my book, a Walk to Remember by Nickolas Sparks that is what happens. At first it seemed like it was going to be a perfect love story about two young people, but then again, in almost every other love story something goes wrong.

What is different in this book from other books I have read by Nickolas Sparks:  is that it seems like the ending will be much different. I don’t think that in the end everything will be okay. From the way the other books I have read, the people are separated by something like in The Notebook, and Dear John. They usually they always come back to each other in the end, but I feel like in this book whatever happens will be permanent.

Jamie would often bring up what they wanted their future to be like. When Jamie talked about her dreams she always seems as if though they would never come true. I don’t think that Jamie’s sickness will go away, things like that don’t happen very often and most of the time it just gets worse. It already seemed like she knew she was going to die she just accepted it and no matter what happened in her life she would always say “It is the lords plan”. She knew that his plan for her was to live a great life and die at a young age, but she would go on remembered, she wasn’t just a nobody, she changed peoples’ lives for the better. I think that Landon will never get over her and will remember her throughout his life with the same love he had when she was actually there with him.

Promises

Authors Note: I wrote about the conflicts in the book The Notebook by Nickolas Sparks and how they over came the problems they had.

Most of the conflicts were caused by Allie's parents. They didn't think Noah, Allie's boyfriend, was good enough for their daughter, so they tried a lot of things to keep them apart. Allie and her family left town early to keep her and Noah away from each other. Her mother would hide Noah's daily letters from Allie thinking that she would be better off not seeing them. In the end, they couldn't do anything to keep these soul mates apart.

Noah and Allie were very much in love, but nearly lost each other because of what other people thought.  They find the strength to be with each other as soul mates. As they got older Allie slowly gets  Alzheimer’s disease. Noah’s love draws her out and keeps them together. Noah had a stroke at eighty years old, he reads Allie’s final letter again and is reminded of the promise she made when she found out she had Alzheimer’s; she would try every way she could  to overcome the disease and be with him in the end. Noah went to Allie’s room late at night even though most of the time when she sees him she rarely remembers who he is. He only wanted to leave a poem under her pillow, but instead kisses her. This made her to wake up and she recognize Noah, he was glad that he has come back to her. In the end that they die there together, just as Allie promised him.
